Problem with Vsync

Is there any way to correctly use Vsync in Zusi2? If I activate Vsync in game settings fps is limited to 40 and animation is not smooth. If Vsync is not activate I can observe characteristic little refreshe errors during movement.

Ok, but why Fps is limited only to 40? I use Vsync in many games and I don't have a problems with smoothness of animation.

With vsync the fps is limited to the frequency of the screen. So even if you set a high max fps-value in the Zusi-settings (default 40) the fps will never be higher then the screen-frequency.

The problem with smoothness comes up, because the period between two frames varies depending on the current situation of the screen-sync.

Ok, but default frequency of my monitor is 60 Hz and I set in Zusi-settings the same value so I'm wondering why Fps are on the level of 40? Should be 60 I think ?(

the max fps depends on the complexity of the scene. So on a simple route it should be more than 40.
