Bremse anlegen!
Hello again to all (english-section) readers!
I´d like to start a short topic about brakes. Sometimes I get Bremse anlegen! message in Info window.
I haven´t found it in dictionary here in the forum. Does it mean Brakes applied?

I have noticed it in freight train. How dangerous could be 5 cm movement backwards? I think that penalization is acceptable on passanger train movement only.
How do you solve this on hilly routes while releasing brakes? Do you pull Fahrschalter to position 1 and then release the brakes?
By the way, when Czech drivers add/remove cars from passanger trains in station, they move it, and hard (with passangers)!

You shouldn't stand still without any brake applied, because it is rather hard to notice, you're rolling. Normally, the straight air brake is used to keep a train stationary.
When departing uphill, you indeed have to apply enough power to depart before/while you release the brakes. That balance is a matter of experience.
Greetings, Arie

Zusatzbremsventil
Zusatz = additional? I know two types of braking on Zusi keyboard - with +/- keys (FbV) and with 9/3 keys (dynamic brake).
Tell me how do I operate the Zusatzbremsventil, please.

By the way, you cannont actually drive backwards in Zusi. Neither by switching the reverser to backwards and applying power nor by releasing the brake while standing uphill. Let's just say that Carsten was too lazy to implement it when he initially invented Zusi and now it's too late. (... at least fot Zusi 2...)
